We spent almost all of today at the Scottish National Museum. It was a quite lovely day. We started in the early peoples section and moved into the industrial revolution and victorian era. Along with typical museum stuff, this museum also had lots of kid's areas where they had clothes for playing dress up and various interactive things. MK and I amused ourselves for a while playing dress up in long gowns and corsets.

After deciding that a corset was not an everyday kind of thing, we moved on the the "treasures" exhibit where, among other things, is the final resting place of Dolly the sheep. There she stands, stuffed, in a rotating glass case. We had to rush a little to get through it in time to go see the bell choir that was performing in the atrium. They were decidedly average, but it was fun and festive none the less. They played carols and holiday songs including "we three kings" "rudolph the red nosed reindeer" and "silent night." We went back to MK's flat for lunch and decided to come back for the scottish traditional dance show happening later in the afternoon. We met Emmons at said show and finished exploring the museum.
We then headed to the Elephant House again, which had instantly become my favorite coffee/tea house in Edinburgh and we had tea and a slice of heavenly lemon cake and chatted for three hours in the nice, warm atmosphere. We parted ways so that Emmons could go back to Eleanor's in time for dinner, which was haggis. MK and I decided that I needed to try haggis, and being vegetarian, she took me to an indian place that had excellent vegetarian haggis fritters as an appie. They were actually fantastic and I would love to try them again. We had indian food for dinner (obviously) because I have been lacking in food diversity since being in Italy and quite satisfied, we returned to her flat.
